The Cornerstone Team
The Cornerstone Team of Churches is based in the villages of Thurnby, Houghton on the Hill, and Stoughton, just to the east of Leicester and in Thurmaston to the north of Leicester.
The four churches in the Team are: St Luke's (Thurnby), St. Catharine's (Houghton), St. Mary's and All Saints (Stoughton), and Living Hope Church (Thurmaston)
Purpose
We share a common purpose, building on our Four Key Foundations:​

Partnership
As churches within the team, we are partners in ministry and we support each other.

Sometimes this looks like doing things together as a Team.
​
Sometimes it involves people from one church joining in with what one of the others is doing.
​
Sometimes it’s about praying for each other in our specific mission and calling.
​
This partnership is expressed in all kinds of different ways—from shared services and outreach; youth camps and holiday clubs; and the way we plan and pray together.
Planting
As churches within the team, we are partners in ministry and we support each other.

This reflects our vision to be part of God’s plan for all people to hear the good news of Jesus Christ, and hear his invitation to follow him.
